The news media should be blamed for the unhealthy paparazzi culture and going to the extremes for sensational news. How far do you agree?

No i do not agree that news media should be blamed for this unhealthy culture in fact, no one party should be entirely blamed for this. The government also plays a part to ensure that the paparazzi do not got to the extremes of finding news by enforcing law and order. By enforcing one's sate law and order, the government places limits unto the unhealthy paparazzi culture and penalties for those paparazzi who stoop so low just to get juicy news. For example giving fines or even jail for paparazzi who committed and violated the laws. Another party we should blame is the customers buying and reading the juicy news, with us reading and purchasing, the news media would be pressured into getting more and juicier news. Therefore, not only news media should be blamed.

However, i do agree to a certain extend that news media are responsible for the unhealthy paparazzi culture and going to the extremes for sensational news. This is because everyone has an incentive-driven mindset and would do anything to earn more profits and benefits, even supporting the unhealthy paparazzi culture and going to the extremes for sensational news.

  1. Good job there, I find your style of presentation a joy to read; readers can easily follow your train of thoughts. Also, kudos to you for being clear and having good phrasing in your sentences. However, I would still like to point out that you should give more specific examples and link them back to your answer. that said, keep up the good work.

  2. I agree with you that in this unhealthy culture, no one person or group of people can be blamed. This culture is the result of an industry that started on the wrong foot, resulting in a never ending plunge into a bottomless pit. The government, media and readers are the three main contributors to this problem, as the readers crave for the news, and the media feeds on this high demand to make more money. The government is also linked with the media in some ways, and as a result act at a bystander that is not willing to intervene, allowing the readers and the media to continue their vicious cycle.

  3. I agree with Yu xiang as most cultures whether unhealthy or healthy are encouraged by a herd mentality that most people in our society have today. They follow the majority.
The many factors influencing the culture like the coverage, the ethics involved when making the decision to print or not print.

  4. Hey Xiang! I agree with you that news media are responsible for the unhealthy paparazzi culture and going to the extremes for sensational news. They do this to attract readers, stand out among other news medias, etc. Everyone need money to survive, but the thing is that they do not and should not resort to such methods to attract readers or even stand out for that matter.
